Court throws out $223.8M verdict against J&J in talc case, Reuters reports

The Superior Court of New Jersey Appellate Division has thrown out a $223.8M verdict against Johnson & Johnson in a trial over four plaintiffs’ claims that they developed cancer from being exposed to the company’s talc powder products, finding that a lower court judge should not have allowed some of the scientific expert testimony the plaintiffs presented to jurors in the case, reported Reuters’ Brendan Pierson.
