Compass Point argues that the key arguments published in a short report about FTAI Aviation (FTAI) on Wednesday January 15 are “misplaced and/or in many cases do not make sense.” Given the view that the short report was “unsound,” the firm says the reaction in FTAI shares was “materially overdone” and creates “an interesting buying opportunity on the overreaction.” The firm, which believes there could be material upside to its FY26 estimates if FTAI executes on recently announced strategic capital initiatives, reiterates a Buy rating and $181 price target on the shares.
