Closing Bell Movers: Crowdstrike down over 8% on soft guidance

S&P futures are up 0.7% in early afterhours session on reports that President Trump wants to work out a deal with Mexico and Canada on tariffs. In an interview with Fox Business News, U.S. Commerce Secretary has conveyed that a compromise on tariffs could be announced by the administration as soon as tomorrow. President Trump delivers the first state of the union address of his second administration at 9:00PM tonight.  In Commodities, WTI is down 0.5% at $67.91 despite a second consecutive draw in API inventories and relief in sentiment. Oil price had fallen to its lowest level of the year earlier today as growth concerns percolated.

Among key earnings, cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike fell 8% on soft earnings guidance despite better than expected Q4 results and record free cash flow for the year. Drone-maker AeroVironment crashed 18% to lowest levels of 2023 below $120 on disappointing Q3 results and guidance cut as its management cited Southern California fire disruptions.
