Citi analyst Leo Carrington says that without more information, the firm sees limited strategic rationale for Sodexo (SDXAY) acquiring Aramark (ARMK). Bloomberg reported Sodexo is considering an acquisition of Aramark. The scale of both companies would present major integration challenges and with both businesses mature, significant synergy potential is not a given, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Citi’s first thoughts are that this acquisition “is unlikely to progress.”
