After having surveyed 40 U.S. Chief Information Officers who leverage public cloud to ask about their cloud consumption habits and expectations, Jefferies analyst Brent Thill said the firm’s work indicated that the CIOs says Amazon’s AWS is best positioned to gain incremental spend over the next 24 months. 63% of CIOs surveyed are expecting to increase their AWS spend over that time frame, versus 48% for Microsoft’s (MSFT) Azure and 23% for Google Cloud (GOOGL), noted the firm, which keeps Buy ratings on all three of the mega-cloud vendors.
