China’s Xpeng looks to expand with entry autos, Europe factory, Bloomberg says

XPeng (XPEV), an EV maker in the People’s Republic of China, looks to expand sales and avoid high tariffs in Europe by finding a factory there, according to Bloomberg News. US-listed Xpeng is Volkswagen’s (VWAGY) Chinese partner and wants to broaden its reach in places with “relatively low labor risks,” the story added. A factory in Europe “would see Xpeng join the growing ranks of Chinese EV makers, including BYD (BYDDF), Chery Automobile and Zhejiang and Geely Holding Group Co.’s Zeekr (ZK), noted Bloomberg.
