Chevron’s Angola operations normal after oil sheen reported, Bloomberg says

Chevron’s (CVX) Cabinda Gulf Oil operations are running normally after an oil sheen and debris were reported along the coast of Angola, Paul Burkhardt of Bloomberg reports. “A survey of the facilities and pipelines is currently underway, with no abnormalities detected so far,” the company said in a statement, according to Bloomberg. The incident was first detected January 21 at a dock in Cabinda. The cause of the release of an estimated 4.8 barrels is being investigated and CABGOC expects the cleanup process taking place to be completed by January 27.
