Capital One higher after CPFB drops lawsuit over savings account

Shares of Capital One (COF) moved after the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau dropped its lawsuit against the company, with prejudice, so it can’t reopened. The CFPB accused Capital One in January of misleading customers when it rolled out a new savings account with a higher interest rate it didn’t also give to existing savings accounts. Shares of Capital One are up 2% to $199.67 following the news.
