Caltech has settled a patent lawsuit against Apple (AAPL) and Broadcom (AVGO), after suing them in 2016 over devices with chips that allegedly infringe its Wi-Fi patents, Reuters’ Blake Brittain reports. A jury ordered Apple to pay $837.8M and Broadcom to pay $270.2M in patent infringement damages in 2020.
