Pension fund CalPERS is the lead plaintiff in a putative class-action complaint against UnitedHealth (UNH), which was filed last year and amended late last week in the U.S. District Court of Minnesota, Christopher Snowbeck of Minnesota Star Tribune reports. The complaint alleges UnitedHealth engaged in a wrongful profit-making scheme through its Medicare Advantage business that wasn’t disclosed, allowing executives to profit on nonpublic information, according to Snowbeck.
