Boeing (BA) officials told regulators that it would make changes to how it designed and produced the type of panel that blew off an Alaska Airlines (ALK) jet shortly after takeoff in January, Minho Kim and Mark Walker of The New York Times reports. Boeing told regulators it is redesigning its door plugs so warning systems can detect any malfunctions.
