Boeing (BA), not Spirit AeroSystems (SPR), misinstalled the piece of the Alaska Air (ALK) MAX 9 jet that blew off, The Seattle Times reports. According to sources, the piece that blew off the jet this month was removed and re-installed improperly by Boeing mechanics in Renton, Washington.
