Boeing (BA) has identified a possibly widespread quality problem on the 737 MAX stemming from assembly work on the aircraft’s aft pressure bulkhead conducted by Spirit AeroSystems (SPR), Air Current’s Jon Ostrower reports, citing two people familiar with the issue. The plane maker confirmed the issue and said it has now finalized its technical analysis of the matter, the author notes. “We understand the issue and required fix,” Boeing told Air Current, adding that it does not consider the matter to be an immediate threat to the safety of flight or in-service fleet.
