Baker Hughes reports U.S. rig count up 3 to 779 rigs

Baker Hughes reports that the U.S. Rig Count is up 3 from last week to 779 with oil rigs up 2 to 622, gas rigs up 1 to 155 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2. The U.S. Rig Count is up 193 rigs from last year’s count of 586 with oil rigs up 142, gas rigs up 49 and miscellaneous up 2. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 15, flat year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is down 103 from last week to 96, with oil rigs down 92 to 32, gas rigs down 11 to 64. The Canada Rig Count is down 37 rigs from last year’s count of 133, with oil rigs down 52, gas rigs up 15.
