Sportsology Capital Partners and Ares Management are in exclusive talks to buy a stake in Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers, according to people with knowledge of the matter, Bloomberg’s Gillian Tan reports. The group is in advanced discussions to acquire the 10% stake in the 2023 World Series winners owned by Janice Simpson, and the transaction is set to value the team at more than $2B, said one of the people.
