Apple (AAPL) has been in secret cooperation with SpaceX and T-Mobile (TMUS) to support the Starlink satellite service in its latest iPhone operating system, which would serve as an alternative to Apple’s current in-house satellite communication service, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports, citing people familiar with the matter. An Apple spokesperson declined to comment, while T-Mobile said that the test will “begin with select optimized smartphones” and that the full launch will “support the vast majority of modern smartphones.”
