Apple testing humanoid robots for smart home ecosystem, says Ming-Chi Kuo

Apple (AAPL) is exploring both humanoid and non-humanoid robotic form factors for its future smart home ecosystem, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities. In a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, the analyst said these products are still in the early proof-of-concept stage internally, and that the timeline from POC to formal kick-off “varies.” Given current progress and typical development cycles, Apple’s robot mass production “likely won’t start until 2028 or later,” according to Kuo.
