Apple paused next year’s software updates for glitches, Bloomberg says

Apple paused development of next year’s software updates for the iPhone, iPad, Mac and other devices so that it could root out glitches in the code, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports. The delay was announced to employees last week and is meant to help maintain quality control after bugs in early versions, people with knowledge of the decision told Bloomberg. Rather than adding new features, company engineers were tasked with fixing the flaws and improving the performance of the software, the sources said.
