Apple (AAPL) is making its first foray into the smart home IP camera market, with mass production scheduled for 2026, targeting annual shipments in the tens of millions, says TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Goertek has received the NPI and will be the exclusive assembly supplier, the analyst says. The smart home IP camera, scheduled for production in 2026, is designed to integrate seamlessly with other Apple hardware products via wireless connectivity. Current global smart home IP camera shipments are 30-40 million units per year, with Apple’s long-term goal of annual shipments of 10+ million units for this product line. Kuo says health management features will be a key selling point for AirPods, and shipments are expected to rebound from 2024. Goertek has secured the NPI for the 2026 AirPods model. Kuo adds that Goertek has secured NPIs for both of Apple’s new products in 2026, signaling a normalized relationship with Apple and renewed growth momentum expected from 2025 onwards.
