Meta Platforms (META), which spelled out its plans to invest as much as $65B on projects related to artificial intelligence this year, is in talks with Apollo Global Management (APO) for the alternative asset manager to lead a roughly $35B financing package for Meta to help develop U.S. data centers, people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg’s Sridhar Natarajan, Laura Benitez and Gillian Tan. Apollo has discussed providing a major part of the financing, though the conversations are at an early stage and there’s no guarantee a deal will be completed, the report added.
