AMC reports ‘Taylor Swift The Eras Tour’ concert film sells $26M in one day

AMC Theatres announced that “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” concert film is now officially a record-breaking movie. The film, which was announced with tickets on sale Thursday morning, shattered records for single-day advance ticket sales revenue at AMC. Thursday’s ticket sales represented $26M in ticket-sales revenue, a new record for ticket sales for a single title on one day at AMC. Additionally, less than three hours after tickets went on sale for “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” concert film, it shattered the first-day, 24-hour ticket sales revenue record at AMC. Recognizing this unprecedented demand, AMC is adding additional showtimes to increase capacity where necessary and available. During its run at AMC, “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” concert film will play at least four showtimes per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, at every AMC theatre location in the United States.
