Amazon has named Samir Kumar as the new head of its India consumer business, a month after his predecessor Manish Tiwary suddenly exited, TechCrunch’s Manish Singh reports. Kumar will become country manager for India in addition to his existing responsibilities overseeing Amazon’s consumer operations in the Middle East, South Africa, and Turkey, Singh writes.
