DA Davidson analyst Gil Luria keeps a Buy rating and $235 price target on Amazon.com (AMZN) while noting that the firm’s recent discussions with supply chain/logistics consultant MWPVL International focused on the company’s new project announcements for both delivery and fulfillment center space, continued margin expansion in their retail business, and a quick look at Amazon’s data center build-out plans. California and Phoenix are two notable areas of expansion in the United States, as MWPVL forecasts roughly 45M of net new square feet for Amazon this year, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The expansion of total delivery stations in the United States also positions Amazon well to compete against the likes of USPS, UPS (UPS), and FedEx (FDX), the firm added.
