Google parent Alphabet (GOOG) (GOOGL) is in advanced talks to acquire cybersecurity startup Wiz for around $30B, people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal’s Lauren Thomas. A deal could come together soon, granted the talks don’t hit any last-minute snags, the sources said. Alphabet had been close to a $23B deal for Wiz last summer, though those talks fell apart, The Journal notes that it had previously reported.
