The company states: “Alumina production decreased 2% sequentially to 2.39 million metric tons. In the Aluminum segment, production increased 2 percent sequentially to 571,000 metric tons primarily due to continued progress on the Alumar, Brazil smelter restart. In the Alumina segment, third-party shipments of alumina increased 12% sequentially primarily due to increased trading. In Aluminum, total shipments were flat sequentially at 641,000 metric tons.”
