Albertsons (ACI) is cutting a portion of its corporate and division support staff, KTVB’s Zoe Tuttle reports, citing a statement from a company spokesperson. The total number of layoffs have not been disclosed, though the spokesperson said that no store-level positions will be affected. The job cuts come roughly a month after Albertsons’ proposed merger with Kroger (KR) fell apart after two separate courts denied the deal, the author notes. Shares of Albertsons are down nearly 2% after the news.
