Wells Fargo analyst Edward Kelly added Albertsons (ACI) to the firm’s Q1 “Tactical Ideas List.” Wells says it would be an aggressive buyer of Albertsons. Potential upside drivers include fading deal-overhang, a Q3 update that expands on a compelling Plan B, easing 2025 guidance concerns, and the start of sizable repo, the firm adds. Further, Wells says the attractive $17/28 skew is too hard to pass up. The firm has an Overweight rating on the shares with a price target of $23.
