BofA analyst Andrew Didora raised the firm’s price target on Alaska Air (ALK) to $80 from $70 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Alaska is “the airline with the most idiosyncratic opportunities” given the ability to revamp the Hawaiian network, but the firm believes there is risk to Q1 consensus EPS given the firm’s higher fuel cost estimates, the analyst tells investors. Still, the company should reiterate its 2025 EPS outlook of more than $5.75 provided at last month’s investor day and the near-term headwinds could be offset by structural opportunities in 2025, the analyst added.
