The EU antitrust warnings aimed at Adobe’s proposed $20B acquisition of cloud-based designer platform Figma, as being anticompetitive, will be challenged by the software company at a closed hearing on Dec. 8, Foo Yun Chee wrote for Reuters, citing people familiar with the matter. “The European Commission two weeks ago warned that the deal may reduce competition in the global market for the supply of interactive product design software where market leader Figma competes with Adobe,” added the Reuters’ story.
