Activision’s next “Call of Duty” game set to release in 2025 will be a sequel to 2012’s “Black Ops 2” and will take place in the early 2030s, IGN’s Wesley Yin-Poole reported Friday, citing details allegedly revealed in a focus group meeting. While upcoming title “Black Ops 6,” set to release October 25, takes place in the 1990s, next year’s “Call of Duty” game will take place in the future, the author notes.
