Just before seven artificial intelligence (AI) companies, including tech giants like Microsoft (MSFT) and Google (GOOGL), convene at the White House today, AI companies have given voluntary commitments to manage the risks posed by AI.

Besides the above two companies, other AI companies like Amazon (AMZN), Meta Platforms (META), Anthropic, Inflection, and Open AI have committed to testing the security of their AI systems internally and externally before their release. These companies have also pledged to share information with the public, governments, and academia when it comes to managing AI risks and will watermark their AI systems to let users know when their content is generated by AI.
These companies have also committed to publicly reporting their AI systems’ capabilities and limitations, prioritizing research on the risks posed by AI, and developing and deploying their AI systems to solve societal problems.
The rising interest in AI has resulted in the iShares Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Multisector ETF (IRBO) gaining more than 30% year-to-date.
