Spiro M. Dounis, an analyst from Citi, maintained the Hold rating on Venture Global, Inc. Class A (VG – Research Report). The associated price target remains the same with $18.00.
Spiro M. Dounis has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors impacting Venture Global, Inc. Class A. The company’s recent earnings report post-IPO revealed both guidance and fourth-quarter results that were below expectations, with 2025 EBITDA guidance falling short of both Citi’s and the Street’s estimates. This shortfall in guidance, coupled with lower-than-expected adjusted EBITDA for the quarter, has contributed to the cautious outlook.
Despite these challenges, there are some positive developments, such as the Plaquemines project demonstrating production levels significantly above nameplate capacity, which is a promising sign. However, investor skepticism remains, as many are hesitant to fully credit these achievements until further execution is demonstrated. Additionally, while there are plans to increase capacity and pre-file with FERC, these are seen as longer-term positives that do not immediately impact the current valuation. The combination of these factors, along with the stock’s recent pressure, supports the Hold rating.
In another report released on February 18, Scotiabank also initiated coverage with a Hold rating on the stock with a $17.00 price target.
