In a report released yesterday, Mark Mahaney from Evercore ISI maintained a Hold rating on Airbnb (ABNB – Research Report), with a price target of $165.00.
Mark Mahaney has given his Hold rating due to a combination of factors related to Airbnb’s performance and market conditions. The data from AirDNA, a company specializing in short-term rental analytics, indicates a potential slowdown in Airbnb’s growth metrics for the first quarter of 2025. Specifically, AirDNA’s projections for Gross Booking Value and Net Nights Booked are below market expectations, suggesting a softer demand in leisure travel during February.
Despite the downward revisions in estimates for Nights, Bookings, and Revenue, there is an upside in Airbnb’s revenue growth compared to market predictions. However, the overall cautious outlook, driven by the recent month-to-month downward revisions, supports a Hold rating. This rating reflects a balanced view, acknowledging both the potential revenue growth and the risks associated with the observed softening in travel demand.
ABNB’s price has also changed slightly for the past six months – from $117.360 to $126.550, which is a 7.83% increase.
