Techstars – Weekly Recap

Techstars saw an active week across its global accelerator network, marked by fresh funding for multiple portfolio companies, hiring momentum and ecosystem-building initiatives. The developments underscore Techstars’ exposure to AI, space, healthcare and infrastructure software as several startups advanced their growth plans.

A LinkedIn roundup from Techstars highlighted new financings for CopilotKit with $27M, Scout Space with $18M and Blink with $17M, alongside Aumet Inc. with $12M and Nabu with €3M. Smaller rounds for Manifest, Coworked Harmony and ConeLabs, ranging from $1.5M to $2M, further demonstrated investor appetite for AI-native, automation and data-intensive platforms.

ConeLabs, a 2023 Techstars participant, featured prominently with a $1.5M pre-seed raise to expand its infrastructure inspection platform that turns field imagery into 3D models and automates defect detection. The funding is intended to help the Waterloo-based company grow its customer base among engineering firms and public agencies, reinforcing Techstars’ footprint in industrial and GovTech-oriented software.

Health-tech exposure was also in focus through RADiCAIT, a 2024 cohort startup developing deep-learning technology to generate PET-like imaging from standard CT scans. If validated and adopted, its software could reduce cost and access barriers to PET-level diagnostics, potentially enhancing the long-term value of Techstars’ medical imaging portfolio while navigating regulatory and commercialization hurdles.

Beyond capital raises, Techstars signaled broad hiring needs across network companies such as Artera, Zipline, Tilt, Sendbird and Veho. Open roles span AI development, revenue operations, sales and logistics, suggesting portfolio firms are investing in commercialization and operational depth, which may support scalability and improve prospects for future exits.

The accelerator also emphasized community and deal-flow development ahead of London Tech Week, promoting events like “Collisions With David Cohen” and “The Signal.” These gatherings aim to connect founders, investors and partners in the U.K. and EMEA ecosystem, potentially strengthening Techstars’ brand, sourcing pipeline and partner relationships over time.

Taken together, the week’s updates point to a maturing and diversified Techstars portfolio, with new capital, talent expansion and ecosystem engagement all supporting the accelerator’s positioning in early-stage innovation markets.
