El Salvador Falls Behind despite Early Momentum
El Salvador, once a leader in Bitcoin adoption, lags in ATM expansion. The country installed 215 machines in 2022 to bolster its Bitcoin-driven economy but has since stalled. Meanwhile, countries like Poland, Australia, and Spain have surged ahead, consistently adding new machines.
Crypto ATMs Offer Grassroots Exposure
With over 38,000 crypto ATMs worldwide, these machines play a critical role in bridging the gap for the unbanked and increasing cryptocurrency awareness. Despite regulatory concerns about misuse, Poland’s proactive approach cements its position as a rising crypto hub.
