Nvidia stock (NVDA) soared 5.6% in pre-market trading to $129.93 after CEO Jensen Huang pulled off what can only be called an AI mic drop. From Riyadh, Huang announced a mega deal to supply chips for Saudi Arabia’s $500 million Humain data center project. That sent the stock surging—and left analysts scrambling to recalibrate their expectations. Yet even with the positive news, Nvidia stock got hit with a rare Sell call.

Seaport Sends Shockwaves with Rare Sell Call
Seaport Global’s Jay Goldberg threw cold water on the hype parade. He slapped Nvidia with a rare Strong Sell and chopped the target to $100. Goldberg came out swinging. He warned Nvidia’s stock is “priced for perfection” and any slowdown in AI infrastructure demand could send it tumbling. It was the ultimate contrarian call in an otherwise euphoric market.
Melius and Morgan Stanley Stick to Their Guns
Melius Research’s Ben Reitzes wasn’t fazed. He reiterated a Buy with a $150 target, calling Nvidia “the undisputed backbone of global AI buildouts.” Reitzes sees the Saudi deal as just the latest domino in a global AI arms race Nvidia is winning hands down.
Morgan Stanley’s Joseph Moore sang a similar tune. He held his Overweight rating and stuck to a $160 target. Moore called Nvidia “essential infrastructure for the AI revolution” and shrugged off the valuation panic as premature.
UBS Takes the Middle Ground With Cautious Optimism
UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri tried to thread the needle. He maintained a Strong Buy but trimmed his target from $180 to $175. Arcuri praised Nvidia’s AI dominance but warned investors that the stock has “run far ahead of even the most aggressive revenue models.”
Is Nvidia Still a Buy?
Despite Seaport’s doomsday take, Nvidia keeps its Strong Buy crown. The stock has racked up 40 analyst ratings over the past three months, with 34 Buys, five Holds, and just one Sell.
The average 12-month NVDA price target now sits at $164.65, pointing to a juicy 26.7% upside from $129.93. Most analysts agree: Nvidia is the king of AI chips, and no real challenger has emerged.
