In a Twitter discussion, Musk warned followers that SpaceX could face significant challenges when launching this complicated and gigantic rocket. Musk cautioned that there is a high chance that the launch could get delayed as the company will take extra precautions.

SpaceX has long been testing Starship, and today’s launch will be its debut flight. It’s interesting to note that this superheavy spacecraft is designed to carry cargo and crew to the Moon and Mars. It stands 120 meters long and has a payload capacity of 150 metric tonnes.

In 2021, NASA selected SpaceX’s Starship to carry astronauts to the lunar surface.

Whether Starship goes airborne or not remains a wait-and-watch story, but SpaceX is focusing on increasing its rocket launches in 2023 as more competitors hit the market. Last year in August, Musk tweeted that SpaceX could launch 100 flights in 2023. It’s interesting to note that SpaceX made 61 successful launches in 2022, nearly doubling that number from 2021.

Thanks to these growing launches, the valuation of Musk’s private space exploration and Satellite company is likely to increase further. Meanwhile, shares of his golden child, Tesla, have jumped over 50% year-to-date on the back of record deliveries. Let’s look at what analysts recommend for Tesla stock.

Is Tesla Stock a Buy, Sell, or Hold?

Tesla stock has gained quite a lot. However, pressure on automotive margins, which is on a downward trajectory, keeps analysts cautiously optimistic about TSLA stock.

It has received 19 Buy, 10 Hold, and three Sell recommendations for a Moderate Buy consensus rating. At the same time, analysts’ average price target of $219.57 suggests further upside potential of 18.69% from current levels.
