Video game developer Activision, a subsidiary of Microsoft (MSFT), announced a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 remake. This comes nearly five years after the release of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remake, which was well-received by critics and gamers.
As the name implies, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is a remake of the third and fourth games in the series. Just like with the 1+2 remake, this game will feature classic levels updated with modern visuals, as well as gameplay updates bringing the two games in line with 2025 expectations.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 will be released on July 11 for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Sony’s (SONY) PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Nintendo’s (NTDOY) Switch, and on PC through Steam, Battle.net, and the Microsoft PC Store. A special Digital Deluxe edition grants early access to the game, the ability to play as the Doomslayer from the Doom series, and other benefits. The Standard edition will cost $49.99 while the Digital Delux edition will be $69.99.
Why Isn’t Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 an Xbox Exclusive?
While Activision is owned by Microsoft following the $69 billion purchase of Activision Blizzard in 2023, Xbox hasn’t been interested in console exclusives recently. Instead, the company has focused on releasing its games on all consoles to reach a wider audience. This is part of Xbox head Phil Spencer’s plan to turn every device into an Xbox via multiconsole releases and the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
Is MSFT Stock a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
Turning to Wall Street, the analysts’ consensus rating for Microsoft is Strong Buy based on 28 Buy and three Hold ratings. With that comes an average price target of $508.96, a high of $600, and a low of $425. This represents a potential 32/25% upside for MSFT stock.
