Jefferies’ five-star-rated analyst, Brent Thill, reaffirmed his Sell rating on Palantir Technologies (PLTR) today, maintaining a price target of $60. While he acknowledges the company’s AI progress, he sees the stock as too expensive at its current valuation. Ongoing insider selling also remains a key concern.

Jefferies Stays Cautious on Palantir Despite AI Strength

Palantir’s latest AI Platform (AIP) customer event left Jefferies analysts “impressed,” highlighting case studies that showed strong returns on investment (ROI). The event showed how Palantir’s AI tools are changing businesses and strengthening its role in enterprise AI.

Thill wrote, “We tuned into PLTR’s sixth AI Platform (AIP) customer event and were impressed with the ROI case studies showcasing how its products are helping transform businesses.” The presentation showed how companies are using AIP to simplify operations, automate tasks, and boost efficiency. Notably, AIP is Palantir’s AI suite designed to help organizations bring artificial intelligence into their daily work.

Despite the positive momentum, Jefferies warns that Palantir’s stock price already reflects these strengths. Thill noted that the AI momentum is already priced into Palantir’s valuation, making it the “most expensive stock in our coverage. He believes the high valuation could pose risks for investors.

Jefferies also flagged insider selling as a concern. Thill noted that the company’s co-founder, Stephen Cohen, recently sold another $310 million in shares, raising questions about the stock’s future performance at its current valuation.
