Humana Inc (HUM) has released an update to notify the public and investors about a regulation fd disclosure.
Humana Inc. anticipates a growth of approximately 100,000 individual Medicare Advantage members by year-end 2024, marking a 1.8% increase over the previous year. Despite aligning with expectations, a significant portion of membership growth was due to existing members changing plans, resulting in fewer new member sign-ups than projected. The company also saw slightly higher attrition than anticipated during the annual election period. In terms of financial performance, the company now expects to report a GAAP EPS of around $20.00 and an Adjusted EPS of approximately $26.09 for the fiscal year 2023, following higher medical cost trends, particularly in the fourth quarter, which were not fully offset by cost containment efforts.
