Shares of the developer of 4G LTE Advanced and 5G communication systems, COMSovereign Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: COMS) surged in pre-market trading at the time of publishing on Friday after the company announced that in partnership with Vercom, it deployed its Fastback Intelligent Backhaul Radio (IBR) for a major wireless operator to rapidly restore its wireless network service after an outage.
Fastback radios provide last-mile connectivity in highly congested wireless environments and operate in the unlicensed frequency spectrum.
Even with today’s price surge, COMS stock has tanked by more than 80% in the past year.
