Zegona Communications has announced a significant partnership between Vodafone Spain and Telefonica to establish a new fibre network company in Spain, called FibreCo. This venture will provide high-speed fibre access to 3.6 million premises, enhancing the fixed line strategies of both companies and promising substantial financial returns. The ownership will be split with Telefonica holding 63% and Vodafone Spain 37%, while Zegona plans to integrate a third-party investor by mid-2025.
