Zegona Communications is set to transform Vodafone Spain by partnering with Telefonica to create a new joint fibre network company, FibreCo, aiming to cover 3.5 million premises in Spain with advanced fibre optic technology. This strategic move is expected to significantly enhance Vodafone Spain’s network services and is part of a broader plan that includes a similar recent venture with MasOrange FibreCo, expanding Vodafone’s high-speed service reach. The transaction, still pending final agreements and regulatory approvals, is anticipated to create substantial value for Zegona stakeholders.
