Yokohama Rubber Expands with Goodyear Acquisition

Yokohama Rubber Co (JP:5101) has released an update.

Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has announced the acquisition of Goodyear Tire’s mining & construction machinery tire business as part of its Yokohama Transformation 2026 strategy, aimed at expanding its off-highway tire business and global presence. The deal, valued at an expected $905 million, includes Goodyear subsidiaries in Australia and Japan, and is aimed at bolstering Yokohama Rubber’s product lineup and earnings in the commercial tire sector.
