Yokohama Rubber Boosts Asset Strategy with Strategic Sale

Yokohama Rubber Co (JP:5101) has released an update.

Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has successfully executed a strategic sale of investment securities, yielding approximately 8.2 billion yen, as part of its Yokohama Transformation 2026 (YX2026) medium-term management plan. The sale, which is part of a plan to divest around 60 billion yen in securities by 2026, will fund significant investments, including the acquisition of Goodyear’s OTR business. This move is aimed at boosting profitability, asset efficiency, and achieving a return on equity (ROE) above 10%.
