WIA Gold Limited (AU:WIA) has released an update.
WIA Gold Limited has announced the appointment of Josef El-Raghy as the new Executive Chairman, effective April 18, 2024. El-Raghy, a major shareholder with a 7.35% stake in WIA, brings a wealth of experience from his time at Centamin plc, where he led the company from an ASX junior explorer to a major player with a market cap over $4 billion. His tenure included the development of the Sukari Gold Mine in Egypt, which ramped up to 500,000 ounces per annum, and the distribution of almost $900m in dividends to Centamin’s shareholders.
