Westport Fuel Systems (US) (TSE:WPRT) has released an update.
Westport Fuel Systems is pioneering a proof-of-concept project for its High Pressure Direct Injection (HPDI) fuel system using methanol in marine applications, in collaboration with a major power solutions provider for the marine industry. Funded by the OEM, the nine-month project commencing in early 2024 aims to demonstrate methanol’s potential in decarbonizing marine transport, leveraging Westport’s versatile technology adaptable to various low-carbon fuels.
