Westgold Resources Limited has received a favorable outcome as the Takeovers Panel declined to make a declaration of unacceptable circumstances regarding their proposed acquisition of Karora Resources Inc. The acquisition, which is set to proceed via a Canadian plan of arrangement, has been unanimously approved by both the Westgold and Karora boards of directors, with the Karora board recommending the transaction to its shareholders as both fair and in their best interests.
