West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. has successfully completed the sale of its Quesnel River Pulp mill and Slave Lake Pulp mill to an affiliate of Atlas Holdings, with the mills now being operated by Millar Western Forest Products. This strategic move, part of the company’s asset disposition including the earlier sale of Hinton Pulp, is aimed at concentrating West Fraser’s efforts towards becoming North America’s leading building products company. The transaction is expected to enhance West Fraser’s focus on producing a diverse range of wood products, including lumber and engineered wood, for various markets.
