Volaris, an ultra-low-cost carrier, reported a decrease in March 2024 capacity by 15.8% due to Pratt & Whitney engine inspections, leading to aircraft groundings. Despite this, they managed to increase their load factor by 1.3 percentage points year-over-year to 86.8%, while transporting 2.3 million passengers. The company strategically reallocated capacity to international markets in anticipation of the upcoming peak summer season, maintaining a strong focus on profitability.
